Description:
This parallel port programming cable is a 100%-compatible drop-in replacement for the legacy Altera ByteBlaster and ByteBlasterMV download cables.
NOTE: ISProgrammer is not a drop-in replacement for ByteBlaster II. Use ISProgrammer2 to replace ByteBlaster II.
The ISProgrammer features the following functions:
- Provides a fast and low-cost method for in-system programming.
- Supports operation for targets using Vcc from 3.3V to 5.0V
- Downloads data from MAX+PLUS II or Quartus II development and stand-alone programmer software.
- Programs MAX 9000, MAX 7000S, MAX 7000A, MAX 7000B, and MAX 3000A devices in-system via a standard PC parallel port.
- Configures Stratix, Cyclone, APEX II, APEX 20K (including APEX 20K, APEX 20KE, and APEX 20KC), ACEX 1K, Mercury,
FLEX 10K (including FLEX 10KA and FLEX 10KE), FLEX 8000, and FLEX 6000 devices and Excalibur embedded processor solutions.
- Supports in-system programming of advanced configuration devices (EPC2, EPC4, EPC8, and EPC16).
- Supports SignalTap II logic analysis in the Quartus II software.
- Uses a 10-pin circuit board connector identical to the ByteBlasterMV and ByteBlaster connector.
The ISProgrammer is supplied with a 6-in (15-cm) detachable 10-lead board-connector cable.
Unlike the ByteBlasterMV, the cable is equiped with a standard 10-pin keyed female socket connector at each end.
This provides an easy way to detach and replace the supplied cable with custom board-connector cables for applications requiring
specific board connectors.
In addition, the optional ISProgrammer Extension Cable can be used to extend the physical reach of the programmer.
